Our Team

Work With Us

There are three full-time staff positions open right now. We would love to have you pray about joining our team or sharing this with someone you know who may be interested.

  • Executive Pastor - We are looking for someone with management and administrative gifts who can help lead our staff and build the infrastructure to help us continue to multiply as a church. We are looking for someone with experience leading large teams in the business, church, or government world who can help translate that into our context. Click here for the full position description.
  • Hospitality Leader - We are looking for a full-time Hospitality Leader! As Hospitality leader you will help advance The District Church’s mission to make disciples and impact our city for Christ through creating contagious and welcoming environments where strangers feel welcome. You will lead in building a team of over 100 volunteers that will welcome people at all of our Sunday gatherings, at newcomer events, and for special events. You will have the opportunity to grow in team building, management and leadership skills and in your spiritual life. Click here for the full position description.

Developing Leaders

We believe we have a unique calling as a church to focus on developing leaders who are called to local church and city-reaching ministry. The following positions are available on a rolling basis and require support raising. We have three levels for people who are called to ministry to serve with us in part-time or full-time roles:

  1. Interns - part-time volunteer staff role serving in either ministry team, small group, or an operations role to gain experience and clarity around one’s calling.

  2. Fellows - full-time role focused on developing those called to ministry through significant staff leadership responsibilities alongside possible graduate or seminary education. Housing and health care provided; the rest of living expenses are raised. Learn more about being a District Fellow here.

  3. Residents - full-time role focused on preparing those who are called to plant a new parish or a new urban ministry with the church. This targets people who are called to ministry and have the bulk of their education behind them. They are focused on learning the culture of DC, their neighborhood, and The District Church so they can launch strong. Housing and health care provided; the rest of living expenses are raised.
