Maureen lived her whole life in New England until moving to DC with Dan Chaput, her high school sweetheart and husband of many years, in July 2014. Maureen earned a Bachelor’s Degree through UMass, Amherst, and has worked for over 30 years as an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter. Maureen has a passion for prayer because she loves encouraging people and loves seeing God's work in healing, restoration and miracles in people’s lives. She has pursued a deeper relationship with God for 35 years and has come to understand the greatness of God’s love for all of us; that understanding of God’s heart makes prayer ministry a joy. Maureen enjoys outdoor activities, including running, cycling, hiking, camping, and canoeing; she also enjoys listening to music and attending concerts with Dan. Maureen grew up with 7 siblings and lots of cousins; she learned how to enjoy playing, inventing games, and competing. She loves opportunities to catch up with friends and family and playing with kids wherever she can find them. Her extended family, friends and colleagues, are what she misses most about moving away from New England. They are the grateful parents of three kind, smart and talented adult children and enjoy spending time with them whenever possible.
