Holistic Living Workshop Series -- Learning to love neighbor and self.
TDC invites you to a series of workshops called Holistic Living led by one of our own congregants, Stacey Schwenker. These workshops will help you understand and live out caring for your soul and that of others through communication, family of origin patterns and self care tools.
One of our core values as a church is Community. How we interact with others throughout our day matters! As followers of Jesus, we are called to love our neighbors - which includes understanding how what's going on inside of us affects the people around us... our family, friends, & coworkers...
Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'..." (Matthew 22:37-38)
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34)
April 16 - Communication - (Listening, Validation, and Empathy) - How to actively listen, clearly speak, and have compassion in both
April 30 - Family-of-Origin - Understanding how our family patterns influence our adult behavior and exploring biblical families
May 14 - Self-Care - Techniques for relaxing and self-expression, managing our internal lives, and gaining resources for making changes
Church office, 1616 7th St NW

Feel free to come to one or all in the series.
